What is the Earth made of? The building blocks of the Earth are minerals, which make up the rocks that shape our landscapes, the nutrients that sustain life, and beautiful gemstones. While we play with shiny minerals we will do some fun exercises to learn how they make-up rocks and gems, why some rocks are stronger than others, and find out what makes gemstones so valuable. We will also learn how to identify different minerals so you can find your own gems when you explore nature.
