Kids And Science Kids and Science is about helping young people understand what science and technology really is, what it means in their lives and how important it will for them in the future. Whatever they do, whatever job they choose, just about everything will depend on science and technology. We also help young people to come up with their own ideas to improve the world around them. They soon realize that, with their imagination and energy and some coaching from us, they too can use science and technology to make life better.

Kids and Science programs are for young people in the age-group 10-14 years. And in the years that follow, they also know that Kids and Science is always going to be there to help them.

Gateways To College

The Importance of Mathematics and Science for Middle School and Junior High Students

In the United States today, mastering mathematics has become more important than ever. Students with a strong grasp of mathematics have an advantage in academics and in the job market. The 8th grade is a critical point in mathematics education. Achievement at that stage clears the way for students to take rigorous high school mathematics and science courses--keys to college entrance and success in the labor force. However, most 8th and 9th graders lag so far behind in the classes they take that getting on the road to college is difficult.
